About New Futures Press

For more than 20 years, I've had the privilege of serving organizations of social good -- often called "nonprofit" organizations -- in roles as diverse as legal counsel, volunteer, board member, staff person, and communications advisor.

I've seen all the good that the independent sector has accomplished for humanity. And I've grown increasingly aware of the tremendous potential of this sector to benefit society to an even greater degree.

I founded New Futures Press out of a desire to contribute even more to the success of the independent sector, by providing access to leading-edge ideas in the field. I hope our publications will also enhance the success of the remarkable people who enliven these organizations -- people I've felt fortunate to know as colleagues, clients, and friends.

It has given me particular pleasure that we are bringing to a wider audience the writings of Jim Lord. And I look forward to bringing you more innovative ideas in the future.
